Privacy policy
1. Who handles your data
Nero is an app made by Erick Arias, in Belgium. For anything to do with your data, write to nero.one.site@gmail.com and a person will answer.
2. What data we handle
- The photos you upload: of yourself, of garments and of references. They are stored on your phone.
- Your account: the identifier and the email address Google or Apple share when you sign in.
- Your purchases: your credit balance, the history of transactions and your usage counters.
- Technical data: device model, app version and error logs.
- Whatever you write to us when reporting a problem, if you choose to.
We use no analytics and no advertising, and there is no advertising identifier.
3. What we use it for, and on what legal basis
- To generate your images and give you the service you asked for: performance of the contract.
- To charge you and keep your credit balance: performance of the contract.
- To fix bugs and protect the app from abuse: legitimate interest.
We do not sell your data, we do not pass it to advertisers and we do not use it to profile you.
4. Your photos
Your photos live on your phone. We do not store them on any server of ours. To generate an image, the photo travels encrypted to our server and from there to the artificial intelligence provider, and only for the duration of that operation. Neither we nor the provider keep it afterwards. We do not use your photos to train models.
5. Where it is processed
Our server is in Belgium, in the European Union. Image generation is done by Google using Vertex AI. Google may carry it out in its data centres inside or outside the European Union. Where data leaves the European Union, the transfer relies on the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission. Accounts and credits are held in Firebase, by Google.
6. Who we share data with
- Google and Apple, so that you can sign in.
- Google, as our database (Firebase) and to generate the images (Vertex AI).
- RevenueCat, which handles subscriptions and purchases. It receives your user identifier. It does not receive your photos.
- Apple and Google, as the stores. They take the payment: we never see or store your card details.
Nobody else.
7. How long each thing is kept
- Your photos: as long as you want. They are on your phone and you delete them whenever you like.
- Your account, your balance and your credit history: for as long as the account stays open.
- Error reports: they have no expiry date, but when you delete your account your identifier and email address are stripped from them and they remain as anonymous text.
- The record of your purchase at Apple, Google and RevenueCat: they keep it for accounting and tax reasons, and it is not in our hands to delete.
8. How to delete your data
In the app: Settings, then Delete account. It runs there and then, with nobody having to approve it. The full steps, and the detail of what is deleted and what is kept, are at https://nero-one.site/en/delete-data/
9. Your rights
You can request access to your data, its correction, its deletion, the restriction of its processing, object to certain processing, and receive a copy. Write to nero.one.site@gmail.com. If you live in the European Union and believe we have not done our job properly, you can complain to the data protection authority in your country. The Belgian one is the Data Protection Authority, at www.gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be
10. Minors
The app is for people aged 16 or over. Uploading photos of minors is not allowed.
11. Security
All communications are encrypted. The app identifies itself to our server with Firebase App Check, so that nobody can use it by pretending to be the app.
12. Changes
If we change this policy we will change the date above. The version in force is always inside the app and at https://nero-one.site/en/privacy/
