Delete your data
Nero is an app made by Erick Arias, in Belgium. Below are the steps to request deletion of your data, and exactly what is deleted, what is kept and for how long.
How to ask
- In the app: Settings → Delete account. It runs there and then, with nobody having to approve it.
- If you no longer have the app installed, write to the address below from the same email you signed in with, asking for your account to be deleted.
Deleting one thing, without deleting the account
Deleting a garment, an inspiration or a generated image removes the file from your phone right away. Nothing to request, nobody to wait for.
What is deleted when you delete your account
- Your sign-in account, with the identifier and the email address you used.
- Your credit balance and its whole history of transactions.
- Your usage counters.
- Your internal tester note, if you had one.
- Every photo and every piece of data stored on your phone: garments, inspirations and generated images.
What is kept, and for how long
Two things. The first: the error reports you sent from the app. They are not deleted, but the identifier and the email address are stripped from them, so they are no longer tied to you and remain as anonymous text.
They are kept with no time limit, because they are what bugs get fixed from, and nothing in them leads back to a person any more.
The second is not up to us: if you ever bought anything, the record of that purchase stays with Apple or Google, and with RevenueCat, which handles the subscriptions. They keep it for accounting and tax reasons, and it is not in our hands to delete. To ask about it, you have to go to them.
Your photos are not on any server
Your photos live on your phone. To generate an image they travel to the server for as long as the operation takes and are not stored there, so there is no file of yours to delete in the cloud.
